Pros

- It's a tech company, and mostly emulates tech culture. Depending on your manager, working from home could be an option, which is nice. - A few great people on the individual contributor level

Cons

- Not a great place to grow in your career, at least if you plan on doing so by merit alone. However, if you're good at navigating a heavily politicized landscape, and/or if you know someone, then you might do alright. Nepotism also seems to play a heavy role in internal decisions. Just don't bank on getting much credit for delivering real value - showmanship, politicking, and lip service will take you much farther. - Management will constantly ask for feedback, but on the condition that the feedback is positive. Your mileage may vary, but my experience, and those of my colleagues, was that negative or contrary feedback was either ignored or met with retaliation - Management can be very toxic, depending on your team

Pros

Lots of company perks and events - Catered lunch wednesday, theaters rented for movies like Star Wars, well stocked break room, pool table, ping pong table, foosball, PC gaming room, company events out on the slopes, etc. It just keeps going, they have lots of events! Really engaging work, youre always learning and experience new things due to the nature of the work Good chairs, standing desks available While you can get good pay here, do expect to fight for it. Leadership arent technical enough to review your skills, and will low ball you either way. You can still get industry pay or better if you actually negotiate though!

Cons

Really bad leadership churn. Very opinionated, often technically unskilled managers. Generally buzzword oriented, or do-it-like-my-last-place mentality. Major restructures or shifts very often due to leadership, so lots of churning on processes and teams. Illegal pay secrecy policies are rampant across the company Leadership mixing, where some people are in charge of multiple departments, often arent skilled or involved in them, and dont have time to dive deep

Pros

ObservePoint is the best place I've worked in the last 15 years of my career in technology. It's a young company where a lot changes in a short time, but it's mostly positive - no brainwashing required with each big change. Culture here is phenomenal - from the office manager and assistants all the way up to the two men up top, John Pestana and Rob Seolas, who are both the friendliest and down to earth executives outside employees can only dream about. No turned up noses here. Control doesn't just come from the top (no dictatorship). Benefits are near the top and getting better. I'm proud to say the same for pay. Work/life balance is also great; hard work and fun exist in harmony here by respecting family obligations. It also helps that there's a Star Wars Battle Pod in the fully stocked break room. By the way, the break room is definitely stocked - and kept stocked. And we have TVs, comfy couches, Xbox, pool table, table tennis and even showers! And finally, I love working here because I feel like my voice can be heard if I have a good idea. That means a lot to me. Thanks for reading!

Cons

Being a young company, there's a lot of change in a short amount of time, but it's mostly positive. Health benefits are good but more health plan options would be better.
