Pros

- smart, hardworking people - in-office snacks - amazing office administration team

Cons

Leadership is a joke. The company is so poorly run sometimes I feel like I am in a poorly scripted Silicon Valley reality TV show. From what I can tell, Keith hired his friends in leadership positions despite many never having people or team management experience. Most 'leadership' have never worked in e-commerce before and it shows. Ego is the reason this company is failing. Listening is a quality that does not exist at OpenStore. Everyone is pretending that everything is okay and it is not. There is a major lack of transparency. It is expected that you are online at all times and working on weekends. There have been passively threatening emails about availability and loyalty. Numerous employees were fired without warning which has created a culture where everyone is nervous to speak up or say the wrong thing. Exec has lied to employees about people's departures, but word slowly gets around. This is not a good look. The salary is below industry standards but that is the least of your worries.

Pros

smart hard working people in office snacks

Cons

The business is facing challenges in acquiring new brands and managing them profitably as it did under previous ownership. The root of all issues lies in the lack of strong leadership (Keith is not present and senior executives are not experienced) and a toxic culture. There is a lack of meritocracy, with favoritism and exclusive access to leadership given to a select few with a specific identity. Political maneuvering also adds to the negative atmosphere, causing many talented and hardworking individuals to leave the company.
