I have been working at Orlando Magic full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very talented team of co-workers. Great work environment with a lot of perks for employees.

    Cons

Not a lot of upward mobility

    Advice to Management

Continue doing what you do. Great organization!

I worked at Orlando Magic full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Game Tickets. Cons: low pay. Working for this team won’t pay the bills unless you are in management. Takes advantage of young staff.

    Cons

Hires young and pretty staff for low pay. Once you have experience, take it somewhere else. Management only cares about themselves. It’s not the same company it used to be. The old company cared for staff.

    Advice to Management

Truly care for the staff that’s low paid and works too many hours

    Pros

Great work environment. The staff is awesome. Everyone wants to be there.

    Cons

You only work pre-game. Only sometimes do you get to work passed the opening tip-off.

I have been working at Orlando Magic full-time

    Pros

You work for a professional sports team
    Most departments work well together
Fairly new facility to work in
Benefits are good, pay is ok
Direct managers are good to work for & understanding

    Cons

Feels more like a corporation environment than a sports team organization
Expected to increase profits year-over-year by large percentages, but with less money every year for expenses
    Rarely recognized for achievements

    Advice to Management

Remember you sell entertainment, so keep the environment fun

I worked at Orlando Magic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Managers and up can continuously make bad decisions and keep their jobs. Lots of time off (assuming you don't work game nights).

If you are kid coming out of school, this is generally a fun place to work. Staff is fairly young.

    Cons

This used to be the best place to work. Laid back, and fun while the team was winning. Once they started losing, cuts were made at at bottom which did little to improve anything. There are way too many VPs/Directors/Asst. Directors, etc. There are as many of those positions are the rest.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the dead weight that has been camped out for 10+ years in that place wasting space.
