Pros

Reasonable value proposition in theory Global set up for offices Network for freelance and ability to search contractors on Linkedin

Cons

1. They do not have any vision. The leadership is highly insecure about themselves and only 2-3 employees are trusted. These employees are always right and others are not considered worthy. If a new employee tries to provide a better way of doing things, it is perceived negatively and as a threat and it is probably why they have not grown much. If you don't believe me, look at their financials on ROC website - they are still very small for the time that they have spent in the market. I have seen startups turn into unicorn in half the time period. 2. The website claims that they help firms with consulting partners. This is a big lie. They are essentially expensive head hunters. They just do not have the capabilities to understand the consulting requirements for FS clients or to understand the propositions of Fintech and boutique consulting firms 3. The values are compromised and are used for the convenience of 2-3 people within the organization. In fact it is one of the few organizations which does not have any formalized value system. It is basic stuff that this company keeps messing up. 4. Some of the reviews and feedback from the client such as DLF Pramerica, Shriram Life are more than 5 yrs old. They do not have new clients or positive feedback 5. For a startup, they are eager to raise funds but market understands that these are bunch of underperformers. There has been no Series A fund raise done by them after existing for so long in the market and continuously trying to raise funds. They are dependent on a personal network of 1 leadership member for investor who also try to arrange for some small projects so as to create a perception of growth. Thankfully VCs are smart enough to see through this. Please join a large firm or join a professional startup with strong values and robust business model but please avoid Outsized

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on Outsized. We take all feedback seriously and are always looking for ways to improve, however, this review is factually inaccurate and so it’s important for us to also address false information. Given the apparent unfamiliarity with our business, we assume this review is not actually from a former employee, but we still want to address the claims made so that users of this platform can form their own opinions. In terms of the company culture, we are extremely proud of the diverse and dynamic team we have at Outsized. Unlike many companies in our markets, we are a very non-hierarchical business, and even the most junior joiners get access to and interact with the leadership on a daily basis from day one. We believe this is the best way to learn quickly, develop new skills, and enable quick career progression, as demonstrated by the team we have. For anyone interested in looking at our current team and backgrounds, please have a look at our corporate LinkedIn page. On the point about brand values: These are very important to us and are distilled into three areas: • Passion • Integrity • Accountability Our values are an important part of our onboarding process, and form the basis for our development process. A person can be great technically, but if the values alignment is not there, unfortunately it’s not a good fit for our company. In terms of the comments on our clients, we are proud to count almost all of the global strategy and management consulting firms in our markets as repeat and growing clients, as well as many leading financial services institutions. We recommend candidates to have a look at the live opportunities on our homepage to see the types of clients we are currently supporting, and if you go to our LinkedIn page you can see a number of events we have co-hosted with clients in management consulting and financial services. Finally, regarding the comment about fundraising: At the start of our journey back in 2016/17, we were fortunate to partner with a number of renowned angel investors from Asia, Africa and Europe. Thanks to our business model and success in the market, we have not needed to raise institutional funding and have been growing globally by around 100% year-on-year. We don't rule out partnering with an external investor to expand even more quickly in the future, but for us, it's a strength not to be dependent on external capital for growth.
