I worked at PYA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

benefits, summer Fridays, continuing ed opportunities

    Cons

horrible compensation, catty female management, workload was very unevenly distributed among EAs, actions don't represent "values"

    Advice to Management

went downhill quickly when GatesMoore was bought out and PYA took over; many quickly left

    Pros

Great pay. Medical plan is fully covered if you're single (but not subsidized for any family members). Full array of retirement benefits- traditional 401(k), Roth 401(k). Company still matches at 50% rate for first 6% you contribute, which a lot of places have gotten rid of. Nice bonuses in Dec & Feb (one depends on your perf, the other on company perf).

    Cons

Plan to work for those dollars. Local people can work long hours, including weekends. Traveling people work all of the time, nights, weekends, whatever.

    Advice to Management

The main thing that would improve PYA for employees is to ensure that reviews are done regularly by competent managers so that people know what they must do to move up. Resources should be provided for the moving up. PYA University is GREAT, but if someone needs additional education (like Masters degree), they should be given the time & tuition reimbursement to pursue it. With UT right around the corner, it shouldn't be so hard.

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Provide more feedback to the interns
