Pros

PartCycle is in some ways your stereotypical startup. Hipster commodities such as organic soap and trash bins labeled "landfill" can be readily found in the office, where employees work cozily at standing desks and occasionally gather around whiteboards to exchange bad drawings and enthusiastic hand gestures. But in all seriousness: Great work environment - Brandon and Andy have put in tremendous effort to create an environment that is human. They believe in results only, which means employees like myself are given a lot of flexibility about how they go about our work. Employees voices are always heard - everyone here works together as a team and as equals. I do believe PartCycle puts integrity before profits. They want to be successful, but more importantly they want to make sure they are always having a positive impact on their community - including their employees and their customers. Location - Florence is a hidden gem of the South. PartCycle is located in a beautiful town with lots of local activity, yet a low cost of living. Benefits - Partcycle provides employee benefits such as health insurance, 6-month parental leave, paid and unpaid vacation, and a monthly technology stipend.

Cons

Uncertainty - PartCycle is a startup that is still quite young and in the process of establishing itself. There is less job security here than there might be at a larger company simply because nobody knows for sure whether the company will exist in a year.

Pros

1. Ethically Sound - Company maintains ethical business standards, both internally and externally, enabling Managment and Employees to make good decisions. 2. Healthy Work Environment - Employees are team-oriented, respectful, and supportive of each other. Management offers direction and avoids micro-management. Corporate culture consistently encourages a sensible work/life balance. 3. A Focus on Modern Best Practices - When making important decisions, Management and Employees alike aim to excel by using up-to-date (and sometimes leading-edge) best practices.

Cons

This is not a list of Cons, because I like everything about the company. It's a good fit for me. In an attempt to be useful to someone who may read this in the future, I'll share my impressions of working here. If you don't like what you read, consider them Cons. 1. The company (at the time of this writing) is young. That sort of thing is exciting to me. I like to be at the beginning of things, and I enjoy helping/seeing a company grow. As the company matures, I believe there will continue to exist a desire to grow and not get stuck in old patterns. You'll have to be cool with working at a company that doesn't want to settle down and coast. 2. The company employs people who I would consider above-average. They are highly skilled and multi-disciplined. You'll need to enjoy keeping pace with an excellent team. 3. The company has an agile mindset. They practice consistent iterations over products and projects with the purpose of attaining a high level of excellence. You'll need to appreciate getting feedback and value trying to improve on a daily basis. You'll need to like working in a dynamic environment.
