I worked at Preventive Pest Control full-time

    Pros

Best Company to sell for. They gave me plenty of time to decide to work for them while other companies used high pressure to get me to sign. In the end, I felt best about Preventive. They are a little different in that they are more of a family-type culture. I was never plugged into an extensive sales program but rather they gave me a one-on-one training experience and helped me worked on every little detail to make sure I was getting things down. Their training was top notch and was very personalized. I was paid better with them than any other company. My managers worked very carefully with me and were even willing to give me some of their sales when we knocked together to help me out! I always felt that they cared. The Technology we used on the doors was simple and very effective. The service I sold gave the best coverage and warranties in the industry. Preventive prides themselves on the quality of their service. The owners are personable and trustworthy and I always felt they had my back. All the salesman were invited to the owner's home for an awesome banquet at the end of the summer and it was so cool to meet his family! The days were long and hot, but it's not so bad when you're selling all day.

    Cons

My manager at times was a little forgetful but he always made things right. I didn't get the bulk of my earnings until September.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

    Pros

Definitely one of the best pest control companies to work for. They care about their employees, offer plenty of incentives to work towards. Ability to take work truck home is a huge plus. Not all pest control companies offer that. Also very flexible with school schedules.

    Cons

Little to no room for advancement and high employee turnover.

    Advice to Management

As the company grows look to seasoned employees for leadership/management.

I have been working at Preventive Pest Control part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get you pretty much run your own show, and you fee like your own Boss except for control over what you get paid. It's a price rate job, so if you're fast you can make better money.

    Cons

It can be tedious at times, and customers aren't aways the best to deal with. You have to always be careful you are treating according to the label in order to avoid breaking EPA guidelines and getting into trouble.
