I have been working at Price Rite part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to apply to, interview is simple and to the point

    Advice to Management

Employees that work a year (and/or more) should have discounts.

I worked at Price Rite part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you are enrolled in school and are looking for for some extra spending money. Then Price Rite is the perfect place to work. The pay isn't too bad and they will work your school schedule.

    Cons

Unfortunately, if you are not a student and have responsibilities at home then Price Rite is not the best place to work. Especially if you are thinking about applying for a part-time position as a cashier. In the beginning of the month, due to food stamps, you won't have a problem accumulating hours. However, towards the ending of the month, you can barely work a full 20 hours.

    Advice to Management

Become more flexible and understanding to your employee's personal lives.

I worked at Price Rite full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay but that's where it ends.

    Cons

No life work balance. Most upper management are unprofessional or have no idea how to run a store. They are eliminating positions and now you have to do the job of 3 people.

    Advice to Management

Realize that your employees are busting their butts to make you look good. Give positive feedback and a thank you once in a while will go a long way.

I worked at Price Rite part-time

    Pros

One "pro" about working at Price Rite is that the work is super easy. The cash register does most of the work for you.

    Cons

There are more cons to working at Price Rite than I care to count; the customers are loud, obnoxious, and rude, the supermarket itself is dirty and you have to stand for long periods of time.

    Advice to Management

I'd advise management to provide cashiers with stools so that they can sit down while ringing out customers. Standing for 5-6+ hour shifts is no fun.

I worked at Price Rite (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You can meet lots of people but you can do that at any other grocery store..... So apply to stop and shop, big y or Walmart.

    Cons

    Very low pay for supervisor
Hours in the first week of the month, about 16 -19 hours after first week.

You will never be anything special to this company, you are always replaceable. They just need a warm body behind the register.

    Advice to Management

When you do have a good/ loyal employee at least treat them like they are worth something even if you can't afford to pay them more
