It's ok, not good for long term, facilities are gross

    Pros

The people that work there are nice and friendly, everyone seems to be knowledgeable and helpful, work is steady so you are always busy. If projects keep coming, you will stay employed, which is a good thing. If you are out of school this is a good place to start, but keep your eye out looking for better things out there.

    Cons

    - Lack of communication on all levels, you start and you get piece meal information when you make mistakes. - The building is absolutely gross and disgusting. The building has dirty bathrooms and there aren't enough; the lunch room is tiny and always looks dirty. The microwave in the "main" lunch room is a biohazard. The second lunch room is a table in the middle of cubicles, next to a makeshift bathroom. -It's pretty much a "factory", you just sit and work until they finish the project and then you are finished. -They overtask you and they call it "incentive", and if you go over 40 hrs, then you have to work extra and they won't pay you or acknowledge that you worked the overtime. Management would be "I don't understand how 300hrs of tasks are done in 200hrs but people only charged 200hrs". -No space for promotion, anyone that has been promoted I doubt they will ever leave to make space for people to go up. -Software choices are limited and not really promote professional growth.

Good starting job but company struggles too much for long-term employment

    Pros

Good for first job out of college. Learn a lot and get to work on software products up close & personal. Can work remote if your teams doing well.

    Cons

Not nearly enough support for projects. Overtime is constantly expected. Not enough guidance since leads are too busy, so newer engineers (most of us) struggle. But then management and leads criticize you when something is wrong and never any praise for good work. Leadership is overworked, hard to get any time with them. Critical and rude. No consistency at the company with stuff like performance reviews or raises. I was there 1.5yrs and never got either. Seem to bid too low on contracts just to win them, but then expect teams to fill the gap with overtime. Tense work environment, everyone seems stressed and confused a lot. Projects all bottleneck, not enough planning and work done right upfront and it shows on the backend of everything.

    Small company with dubious practices

Jan 27, 2022 - Software Engineer in Orlando, FL

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Good entry point, they will train you and challenge you.

    Cons

The pay is well below average. The majority of their workers are fresh out of college getting paid 3/4ths an average salary with little hope of promotion before two years. The uppre management proposes contracts without checking their staffing to make sure they have the capacity to proceed.
