    Wonderful place to work

    Pros

If you've been looking for more time, more resources, more support, and more encouragement to pursue the most ambitious and creative journalism projects you can dream up, this is the place for you.

    Cons

The only con for me is the pressure of living up to this kind of opportunity, and the patience to stick with a project for the amount of time required to make it truly stand out.

There can be organizational chaos but usually nice behavior and good internal relationships overcome this.

    Pros

-What a privilege to be surrounded by such smart, hardworking, dedicated journalists! Excellent internship.

    Cons

-This may have been addressed since I left--the stipend given to interns (and I appreciate that they walk the talk and pay their interns!) isn't exactly a livable wage in New York City. Especially considering that it doesn't come with benefits. I scraped by because I didn't have much for student loans and because healthcare plan requirements back then were much more lenient--I could get by with my joke of insurance I had to buy myself.
