      I Guess it's not a Bad Job if You're Looking for a Pyramid Scheme

      The office is in a good location. Team activities were fun. By team activities, I do not mean the B.S. unpaid training session in the morning, I mean actual outings with the team.

      THE COMPENSATION! Who can live off of checks for 60-70 hours of work a week that become less than minimum wage after doing the math? I was a single woman working for this company with no children and I couldn't even afford to pay my bills LIVING WITH MY MOM from the wages I made at this position. Minimum wage is less than exciting - Lindsay Schaible will quote this herself. What she does not tell you in the interview, however, is that you'll likely be driving for over two hours a day unpaid, have to go to the warehouse/storage unit multiple times a week, also for no pay, and be forced to participate in morning meetings that do not show up on a paycheck either. You can't expect someone to put in 70 hours a week, giving up opportunities to work other jobs, have any kind of social life, letting health and fitness fly out of the window because the gym is closed by the time you're off of work every day and there's no way you're going to cook a healthy meal after getting home at 9:00 p.m. when you worked for 12 hours on most days. There is NO WORK/LIFE BALANCE is what it really comes down to. I mean you can choose the promise of money and owning your own business over spending time with your family and friends, but who are you kidding? Ownership is said to happen within nine to 12 months. However, the girl above me had been with the company for well over a year and she was nowhere near ownership. This is pretty much an ItWorks, JamBerry, Mary Kay, or other sales-y job except you'll work more hours than you ever have in your life at ONE position and not get a discount on the products you are selling. It was honestly the worst job that I ever had. I wouldn't recommend this pyramid scheme to my worst enemy. If you want to make a CEO'S wallet grow and grow, this if for you. Personally, I'd honestly rather get a job in corporate America making $35K/year and know that I can live comfortably and pay my bills and get the chance to be home with my family after 5:00 p.m. This place is a joke.

To address some of your claims, we are upfront and honest with all of our incoming team members about our company, our growth incentives, and our compensation plans at the time of the interview and beyond. We offer many opportunities for our team including travel opportunities, hands-on training, mentorship, and much more, and many individuals from our team have used this experience to excel in the business world. Further, we are not a pyramid scheme as those are illegal in the State of Michigan and we operate well within the laws, rules, and guidelines for businesses in this State. We show the ins and outs of running a business, which include the good and bad aspects. It's because of this that everyone on our team could easily run their own business one day, which is invaluable. Nonetheless, our business model is not for everyone and we apologize that being a part of the Proof Management team did not align with your career goals. Your feedback will be taken into consideration as we continue to improve our growing company.

      You will be handing out samples at Costco, Sams Club and Kroger, within a 45 mile radius of the Farmington Hills office.

      Not actually Marketing/PR/Event Planning/Etc.

      Pros

      It's sales. You stand inside Sam's Club or CostCo trying to sell something like dead sea salt scrubs. No travel reimbursements, no expense reimbursement, and you have to dress business casual on your own dime to do it. Don't believe me, look at all the "different" jobs they post on LinkedIn, they're all the same thing. They'll have you fill out an application in the lobby to remind them what you applied for in the first place.

      Cons

      This place hasn't been shut down yet, and LinkedIn isn't stopping them from posting fraudulent/misleading jobs.

      Hello! We are truly sorry to read that our Company was not what you had expected or hoped for at the time you were hired in. We are proud that we are able to attract a variety of different people with different experiences and backgrounds into our Company, which is why we have a variety of different postings available. We are firm believers that we can teach the basics of business along with sales and marketing to the right person & that right person may not come from a business, sales and or marketing background. In the recent months we have dialed into the feedback we have received, which has allowed us to be sure to include retail & sales into ads along with our Company's website & culture. It is feedback like this post that reminds us to continue to do better, stay open minded & make the changes necessary to grow.
