    Pros

    - Good opportunities for global development - Competitive pay and benefits - City work location, and good view from building - Interesting work, varied and innovative (in areas)

    Cons

    - Taken over by Shell, unknown future direction on company and culture - Global CEO management changes have meant the ship has taken a few course corrections over the years - Still political, like most organisations. Could do with a cultural shakeup

    Pros

QGC are a safe and great company to work for, they helped me through a difficult time in my life when my Wife passed away. They promote within and always give positive feedback to staff.

    Cons

Not being told of changes to company, keep hearing things on the grape vine instead of notifying employees, certain departments are the last to know or miss out on important meetings or gifts

    Wellsite Operator

    Pros

A great company to work for that espouses safety as a cornerstone of it's operations in real terms, not just in theory or pays lip service to safety as I have been involved in operations that started from the project stage to near full operation mode.

    Cons

Sometimes the communication between departments, management and within team members can be blurred, unclear and incomplete.

    Pros

Majority of workforce are nice, friendly and easily to get a long with. Decent job security for current oil and gas climate.

    Cons

Disgruntled work force, with a large portion of the workforce having a negative outlook. Inconsistent approach across the management of teams, promotions and recognition. Limited "Plan", a lot of "Do", poor quality "Check" and what is "Review"? Disconnected from wider BG Group. Very "clicky", if you're not in the club with the right people you'll be left out. Silo mentality between teams. Limited development outside of core discipline. Focused on short term achievements at the expense of employee satisfaction.

    Pros

Fast paced, exciting project, opportunities to innovate within your role. Benefit of being part of Shell and the access to experience and knowledge that affords.

    Cons

Uncertain times over the last few years, combination of the place in the project lifecycle, industry downturn and acquisition by Shell have meant lots of job cuts.

    Pros

International rotation graduate program (pre-Shell). Great people who collaborate well, agile to make decisions and not as much bureaucracy as other companies.

    Cons

Sometimes lack the systems and process of other larger IOCs and focused development of people.
