I have been working at QuisLex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

QuisLex is firmly positioned at the top end of the market, with a loyal stable of clients that includes leading US and international law firms, multinational corporations and financial institutions. Sources reported that "the attention to detail is unparalleled – they care about the end results." They particularly appreciate the team's "ability to scale up quickly" for major projects. The organisation is headquartered in New York, and offshore work is handled from delivery centres in Hyderabad, in India. Core areas of work include early case assessment and document review for litigation, and contract review and management, as well as M&A services and research work. QuisLex also has notable expertise in handling document review for antitrust investigations.

    Cons

Be prepared for long and rewarding hours.

    Advice to Management

Wish i could clone our management team! They can be spread pretty thin at times! I believe that our CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) has a couple of million miles logged on United Airlines! He's everywhere !

    Pros

Interesting client issues, international in scope

    Cons

Very fuzzy management and ultimately few decisions are made without review by the founders - a difficult environment with minimal delegation of authority.

    Pros

    Pros:
    -They pay on time.
-Decent expat package allows heavy savings.
    -Generally friendly coworkers and management.

    Cons

    Cons:
-Very misleading about work hours during recruitment. 14-hour days are not uncommon, where there are only four or five hours of actual work but you're expected to stay on-site. Terrible work flow process. It is imposible to make any plans during the week, as you never know if you're leaving at 6 or 11. No work-life balance.
-Annoying security paranoia. Layer after layer of redundant guards, sign-ins, fingerprinting. During one work day I counted 80 fingerprint scans. A quick bathroom trip requires four scans.
    -Poor training and unclear expectations.

    Advice to Management

Streamline the workflow. It's a miserable experience to be expected on-site for such long hours with so little work. Clearer expectations. There are no written standards or protocols for the positions. More autonomy for employees.

I worked at QuisLex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    (1) Quick Recognition- If sincere in work.
    (2) Good Salary- If you keep doing the good work
    (3) Possibility of finding good friends/colleagues- at least I did.

    Cons

    (1) Long Hours- Really Long (Forget home)
    (2) Focuses on quantity than quality of work- But stick to quality and who knows you are appreciated.
    (3) Weekends are working- If they say "sometimes", its a trap, they work everyday.
    (4) Its more of a documentation work no legal work.

    Advice to Management

    (1) Please give weekends off.
    (2) Get extra remotes for PS4- they are overused given the size of the company.

I have been working at QuisLex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Pay scale.
    2. Extra curricular activities such as sports participation, quarterly and annual events, few Friday specific events organized by the Training Dept. and HR Dept.

    Cons

    1. Incorrect evaluation of experienced employees.
    2. Office politics: When it comes to politics, Quislex is the best in the business. If you work here for more than a year, you will eventually learn how to do office politics. You have to learn it, otherwise you won't survive. The teaching comes from the superiors, like from senior manager to manager, from manager to team lead, from team lead to senior associate and so on.
    3. Job Security: When it comes to job security, Quislex can get minus in a star rating system. They pay you very well, but if you don't learn politics and (oiling/buttering stuff, per se), then your growth is limited here. Eventually you can get fired if you don't do lobby with the managers.
    4. A bunch of dumb*** A.K.A the quality department, they are the guys from non legal background, analyze some data and excels and question your every move here and there.
    5. Favoritism: Few managers only favor their few selected peers who can do work (that includes anything and everything) for them. This is quite evident to all the core operation as well as compliance guys, but still nothing happens.

    Advice to Management

Stop the favoritism, treat the senior and well experienced guys well, improve the HR policy (and please get it documented), stop the one side hiring/other side firing policy. At the end of the day only WORK PRODUCT matters to your client. Stop favoritism and as a result of that stop giving promotion to the non deserving candidates. Monitor the oiling /buttering inside and outside the project room area (Hire a Sherlock Holmes to do that). Jokes apart, only better employees can earn you bread.
