I worked at RISE Engineering for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay and enjoy the work I do.

    Cons

Management issues go unresolved and are detrimental to employee moral, and detrimental to retention of amazing employees. Corrective action is slow at best but usually nonexistent. And it is like a cancer that is killing certain departments that should otherwise grow and thrive.

    Advice to Management

Hire new management that would have a positive impact on the employees they oversee. One that promotes a positive and encouraging atmosphere. One that supports growth and collaboration. To upper management: Inappropriate and unethical behavior aside. Lack of ability and running a department into the ground should be cause enough for removal.

I worked at RISE Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working Remotely, Working Independently, They are the lead vendor for a few utilities, which is a plus, however that is always subject to better more competitive companies in their markets when the contracts come up for bidding.

    Cons

Truly the worst company I have worked for, Toxic corporate environment, lack of tenure due to unneeded turn over. I watched good employees get hired, then later left or were let go, and the reason never had anything to do with their production or abilities. Disrespectful working environment created by management makes the employees group together and do the minimum to sustain. I have never met a coworker who... was thrilled with their job. Only the managers who create the environment seemed to voice (almost in a trained tone) their job satisfaction.

    Advice to Management

External review of management through a vendor who will pole your employees directly. A redesign of cross-departmental functions, and creating an environment of respect, not 'suspect.'

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at RISE Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Stable company for energy engineering types, diverse utility programs available to assist clients with rebates to improve ROI on projects

    Cons

Managers micromanaged to a degree, top leadership somewhat out of the loop in terms of HR knowledge required to retain good employees!

    Advice to Management

Get yourself and encourage employees to have a life outside of work as all work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy (or girl)
