    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RISE Engineering (Cranston, RI) in April 2014.


    An initial hour-long phone conversation with the president led to a longer in-person meeting at the company's headquarters. I initially worked in-house on a consulting basis, during which time I was provided the necessary access to staff and resources. After a few weeks I was formally offered a job and, once the requisite drug and background checks were completed, hired as a full-time employee.

    • A question about my commitment to becoming a long-term employee required me to evaluate and affirm to myself and the president my motivations for wanting to work in Rhode Island, in the energy-efficiency industry in general and at RISE in particular.   Answer Question
