Pros

I can't think of any.

Cons

Low pay, ridiculous workloads, poor support from management, unsympathetic Human Resources department. In my experience the pay is always below what other employers are offering. The workloads are ridiculous, you feel obligated to work out of hours unpaid to catch up on what you have not been able to complete during the day. Staff are being told to return to full time office working with no option to consider hybrid working, something most other employers are now embracing. The company has seen mass resignations over the past few months. From the people I have spoken to the reasons are always the same. Other employers are offering more money, less stress, and are embracing the new hybrid working option. Some of the senior management team (my senior management team especially) are so detached from the real world, very “us and them”. I have come to class the “Management Suite” as Ivory Towers. The Human Resources department are hands down the most unsympathetic and unhelpful I have ever encountered. If you ask them for help due to childcare needs (and we’re talking as little as a 15 min change to your finish time) you will get a textbook “we are not obligated to make this change” response. However, when the business wants to change your schedule to better suit them, and this change encroaches your personal timetable don’t expect the HR department to help you. All you will get is another textbook response saying that your contract of employment allows us to make these changes. The in house developed apps hardly ever work, and as most of the IT department have resigned there is nobody available to fix them. I would find it very difficult to recommend Reconomy as a potential employer unless you are a school leaver who doesn’t know any better. For anybody else my suggestion would be to find an employer who will value you better, reward you better and embrace the new world instead of being stuck in the past.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your experience with Reconomy. It is upsetting to hear your perspectives, as we work continuously on providing a good working environment for all of our colleagues and regularly review salaries and benefits to ensure they are competitive. As COVID restrictions were lifted we were (and continue to be) very cautious about the speed at which we returned to the office in order to safeguard our colleagues. We appreciate that the last 18 months have been a period of challenge and significant change, and we are currently finalising our flexible/hybrid working approaches to take us into 2022 and beyond. Reconomy is dynamic and fast moving but we do encourage a healthy work-life balance. Our Management Team always have an open-door policy and through the introduction of frequent all-company business briefings and check-in surveys, we encourage our staff to give us their feedback and make recommendations for improvements. It is unfortunate that you didn’t feel like you could raise these issues directly with us during your time of employment, our HR team do care about our colleagues and are continually looking at ways that we can improve.

Pros

I made some great work friends

Cons

Work load is ridiculous more and more put on you and to get done in the same amount of time. They more companies they acquire the more accounts you have to babysit as the customers always find at last about merges. Far too may chiefs waking around doing nothing but getting paid double of those that are actually working ie having to deal with customers. Staffing turn over is just ridiculous no one stays long enough as the work load is too much and your training is being thrown right in the deep end! No company sick pay benefits, no work incentives, bog standard holiday entitlement and its shift work! Very clicky and witnessed alot of bitchiness

Thank you for your recent review. Reconomy don’t have ‘Human Resources Assistant’ positions and so we respectfully ask if you can please amend this review to show your correct title. We are exceptionally disappointed to read your comments. We regularly survey our employees anonymously to obtain feedback on their experiences working for us, and the issues you have cited in this review are not reflected in any of the results. We also conduct exit interviews with colleagues leaving the business - again for feedback to help us make improvements – and the manager ratings from these interviews are 4 out of 5 stars. Given your experience is distinctly different to what our other employees have told us, we would like to discuss this further with you and ask that you contact Lyndsey Denning directly at lyndseydenning@reconomy.com Kind regards, The Reconomy Team
