Entry Level IT Job (Full review)
Pros
- You occasionally get to work on nice laptops, desktops and electronics. Many varieties of brands and components. - Get to go home 1 hour early a lot on Friday’s - Gain hardware knowledge and some software - Get to take home 2 Broken computers during internship period if full time permanent up to 4 a year - Friendly Team 5/5 for Computer Technicians.
Cons
- They give you terrible chairs without backrests. Which give you back problems. Maybe they will fix this problem. - Sometimes a sweatshop (factory style) as they pressure you to keep up with KPI goals like detailing/label certain amount of computers. - Everyone working on computers are severally underpaid production and detailing which are roles for computer tech personnel. - Sales/marketing department don’t ask for opinion from production and detailing. How they categorize computers is off. - Departments don’t engage with each other. Higher ups and executives make demands and not asking for opinions of lower staff who are front line workers. - 1/5 for executives and sales department. - Gender biased girls work less then guys (get promoted to easier position).
