I worked at Scanwell Logistics as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Their checks do clear the bank. Polite communications.

    Cons

Do not work for this company on commission only. I worked my tail off for 8 months and did not see a dime in commission on the sales leads I sent them. Their internal sales staff does not want to work with 'SPM" contractors. I got low monthly pay and was expected to feed them business leads on a high level. They cancelled my contract then wanted me to keep sending leads in for free!!! Cheapskates.

    Advice to Management

Put a halt to the SPM program. No one gets commissions and you have no internal means of tracking leads and follow up. Someone is going to get mad at you and that will hurt your overall reputation.

    Pros

Competent staff in the operations department. MGMT tries their best to reconcile between customers and internal team. Small, comfortable working environment.

    Cons

Sometimes too much responsibility dumped onto one employee's shoulders, especially when one employee in the department calls in sick/vacation. Outdated equipment, communication is inefficient at times.

    Advice to Management

More frequent words of encouragement and appreciation toward employees may lift up the mood. Must learn to communicate more effectively to the departments about their customers/accounts (i.e, rates, trucking)
