    Being mentor by leadership who has been where you have been and is willing to teach, train, and develop you. Putting themselves back where they learned from.

    Yourself
    Training yourself to go through the process even when you have a less then stiller week.

    I worked at Securus Final Expense full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Very nice management. Everyone was very nice and supportive when we visited the home office. They all were welcoming and showed they cared.

    Cons

    It's life insurance. No different than any other company. Terrible leads, terrible commission and terrible business plan. They want you to knock on people's doors to get a sale when the lead clearly makes it seem that the product is free.

    Advice to Management

    Get better leads and quit selling a dream. Be realistic and try to remember what life was like before you had millions.

    Pros

    I have been with this company for just over 3 years and I haven't looked back. The training and support has been amazing. My manager is always there to help me whenever I need. I have been constantly making sales every week. I would recommend this company to everyone.

    Cons

    The downside with working with Securus is not working there sooner than when I first started!

    Pros

    Solid lead system to provide client base. Training support was in line with industry standards. Leadership is available to develop agents.

    Cons

    Contract levels allow top level management to make more money than actual agent selling the policy. Limited number of carriers available to provide clients with benefits.

    Advice to Management

    Consider adding a few more carriers to your portfolio so agents are able to provide customer with the best possible product. Change commission and renewal structure to bring balance to those actually selling the policy.

    Pros

    Flexibility of schedule is nice. Ease of transition into sales. Overall a worthwhile experience and assistance was offered in obtaining licensing.

    Cons

    Management can be very my way or the highway, depending on your location, which is odd considering you're told you're an independent contractor. Reminiscent of a pyramid structure.

    I have been in several industries, but I didn't have a sales background. i thought I would give sales a try and it has been wonderful! I have never been a part of a company that fights harder for your success. Matt Goldberg is a pioneer in this industry and continues to create a platform that is second to none.

    Pros

    The company is like one giant family. If you want to talk to the CEO, you can. You truly get support from everyone.
    The leads never stop.
    The sales system is teachable to anyone with a work ethic.
    The commissions.

    Cons

    Straight commission sales are never EASY. It requires discipline, hard work, and motivation.

    You must be able to maintain a positive attitude even when your sales are down.
