    Cons

    - Startup, so there's always ups and downs with hiring and layoffs - Long work weeks (40+ hours) - A few bad hires that weren't needed and created more work for everyone else

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, the company definitely feels as if it's gaining momentum and moral is improving. Just a nice to have would be more team building activities (like we used to have back in 2015)

    Cons

Can't say much I don't like. Some minor things that could be improved: - Bad hires that slowed our growth - At times we move a little too fast

    Advice to Management

We're on the right path. Things are better than they have been over the last 2.5 years! Going forward I'd like to see: - Better hires - More team functions/outings

    I worked at ShipHawk

    Pros

ShipHawk's product is something truly worth working for. Not only do you feel like your work actually makes an impact, but the transparency of leadership and collaborative nature of the team makes coming to work so easy. With the fast-paced environment that comes with any start-up, there is plenty of room to expand on different skills and areas of interest and great coworkers to help support you.

    Cons

Working at a startup means you must be able to adapt to change at anytime. Sometimes it may feel as if there's so much work piling on at once, but at the end of the day, with the right team and vision, it's not hard to work through any change.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and ShipHawk will keep continuing to succeed.

I worked at ShipHawk full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Everyone who works at ShipHawk is friendly CEO has best interest of employees in mind Good benefits, unlimited time off allows for a good balance between work and personal life

    Cons

Management did not have best intentions for employees Always trying to figure out the company "culture" but did not fully develop a culture or community Management tells new hires what they want to hear to get them in the door but does not follow through The company hires inexperienced people but did not give proper training or guidance, management should work with employees more and act as mentors

    Advice to Management

Hire people who have experience, are qualified, or are really exceptional do not just hire people because they know someone else in the company Allowing people to drink on the job, come in whenever they want, bring their pets, offer discounted lunches is not what makes people truly love their jobs. Good management is acting as mentors, giving guidance, teaching employees how to solve problems and motivating their...
