I worked at Signature HealthCARE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary is fair. Benefits are good.

    Cons

The Administrators always take the fall for poor business decisions by corporate office. The last of my two Signature buildings was over run with large rats living in the drop ceilings, but I was expected to be able to build census while the rat situation was well known in the community. They are currently trying to sell it off. With in a week of leaving I was with a better company as Administrator.

    Advice to Management

Look hard at your Regional Directors who are not skilled at dealing with Administrator and set them up to cover their ignoring facilities.

I worked at Signature HealthCARE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were very wonderful and caring individuals. They showed compassion for families and the residents. Teamwork was amazing. Long term years of service for management and RN/LPN employees. High turnover for CNAs. Therapy and nursing work well together. I worked at a smaller, rural LTC facility less than 100 bed occupancy.

    Cons

Did not adjust to change well. Liked the ideas but implementation difficult mainly due to length of employment by management. Salaries not so good compared to competitors. Corporate would not invest funds to update facility. Old appearing. Required paint scheme that was horrid for mountainous area. We didn't live in the southwest. Fresh paint doesn't fix an old building!

    Advice to Management

Increase pay rates for CNAs. Stop renting an old building and build a new facility that residents, families, and staff deserve. This is the home for residents.

I worked at Signature HealthCARE (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Eden Certified, great coworkers and elders.

    Cons

No real cons. I resigned my employment to take care of my in-laws who have Dementia.

    Advice to Management

If it's not broke don't try to fix it. This is my advice to new management who comes in and wants to change things that have worked for years. Especially if they're 5 star.
