I worked at Skinit full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, most of the coworkers had a great mindset, great attitude.
Good challenges to be solved, in general, I had a good experience working at Skinit.

    Cons

Sometimes things, seem to run too fast, some employees lack the enthusiasm and make things stall or bottleneck for others.

    Advice to Management

Invest a bit more in personnel training and education.

I worked at Skinit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Skinit used to be a great place to work. The company was small and making great revenue. I enjoyed working with my coworkers and respected the leadership. There were many great individuals that helped make the company what it was. Although the atmosphere was laid back everyone got their work done and took pride in their accomplishments. I believe this was the most important part to the companies early success.

    Cons

Unfortunately at some point the company felt that being small and successful was not enough. In an attempt to become bigger and more corporate many poor choices were made. Leadership changed, atmosphere changed, talent left.

    Advice to Management

Focus on making a great product instead of chasing more money and larger margins.

    Pros

None. Waste of time and regret for leaving my old work place.

    Cons

I can rate Skinit as the most unprofessional company in San Diego. It has the worst upper management, probably you won't even know them till you go and introduce yourself as you cannot expect your manager to introduce you to anyone. They hire people on Director position with no previous experience of handling team members. Also, the company offers no learning scope. Everyone works in their little corner with little interaction with each other.

    Advice to Management

Learn to have a little patience. Not everyone works on the same horse power.

I worked at Skinit part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Starting pay is decent for a college grad with no experience. Super easy work on photoshop centering art work and designs on device templates. Some of the people that work there are friendly. If you work hard, they might hire you on as a full time employee with benefits.

    Cons

Usually only seasonal work. They refer to their temporary employees as "temps". If they hire you through a staffing employment agency, they can cut you loose and you wont get unemployment.

    Advice to Management

Treat the temporary employees with more respect

Very long work hours, poor if not rediculous expectations, poor management execution, no real idea of what they are doing

    Advice to Management

Realize companies true identity and find people with experience in that industry

    Pros

Good people to work with and relatively low-stress environment if hitting your sales numbers.

    Cons

During my tenure, company was going through fundraising and brought in Sr management that at times seemed more concerned with a paycheck than the future of the company, which is why it eventually went under.

the environment, free coffee a great art room with great people

    Cons

the lack of letting the artists create, there are amazing designers there!

    Advice to Management

Don't promote someone just because they have been there for a long time. Especially to a job where they don't even have the required skills to be in.
