I worked at Solix full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Made a few great friends. Most people were very friendly

    Cons

It downsized after losing contract so for now I think things have changed. The lay off of one unit got rid of some of the worst management starting from the head of that department who put pawns to do their dirty work and should have no business being managers for they hated people.

    Advice to Management

Put people in management who deserve it, that love working with people not just because they can get the work done while they make everyone miserable.

I have been working at Solix full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I like that the company is very focused on customer service and does a lot including encouraging its staff to build strong customer relationships and provide personal attention. I see the CRM teams do that daily.

There is solid management support for CRM and communication internally is excellent. I think it’s very valuable that if you are looking to further your career through education, this place is it. Whether it is college credit work or professional certifications, the company stands behind its employees. A generous PTO policy, health benefits, and a 401K plan are things I find are very positive here.

    Cons

Solix is competing against large and well-established companies. I think the company can compete and even out-perform the big competitors but Solix does not have the resources to do things like sales and marketing on the level of much larger companies to consistently gain new business opportunities.

And it’s a shame because in most cases, the customer finds out that going with the bigger company doesn’t always return the perceived benefit.
