Pros

The workers themselves are incredible talent and I love working with them - I have friends for life with some people. There is an immense amount of comradery in the WhatsApp groups. Plus Solsten pay pretty well to compensate the awfulness.

Cons

Horrific upper management. Intense micromanagement culture. Dying startup. No future. Anxiety inducing toxic environment I cannot wait to leave. The product is snake oil. For anyone looking to be hired here, just Linkedin search all the past employees at Solsten and see how quickly then burn though people like they are nothing. Their latest ask to relocate their "remote first" hires to offices is the latest ruse to be able to let more people go which is utterly gross.

Pros

Solsten is the most outstanding company I've had the pleasure of being a part of. Every day I am genuinely elated that I get to be a part of this fantastic culture and get the opportunity to be a part of Solstens' growth. I am a proud Solstenite. And for those of you who don't have the pleasure of knowing what that means, let me explain it in brief. Solstens' #1 priority is the health and well-being of their Solstenites. If you are sick, they will kick you off your laptop and assign you to rest. The internal culture was built and maintained by Joe and Bastian and is a community every employee lives by and wants to be a part of. Here Integrity, compassion, and extremely healthy internal communications are fundamentals. It is so refreshing to be a part of something that is so inherently good. The company is built on the psychology that Joe learned and implemented to enhance the human experience. It applies to every corner of working here. The best part about Solsten is that not only do we help companies better understand and tailor to their audiences, but internally, we are tailored to too. Working here, seriously, doesn't feel like work. I am inspired every day by Joe and Bastian and how they operate. I get to learn from hearing them talk and can have direct meetings with them whenever I want. There is a hierarchy, but you can talk directly to the top of the command at any time. There is structure, but it has a purpose and is not filled with entitled people who rave about positions. The leaders are there to help you in any way and give credit like Confetti. The amount of praise I get for going over and beyond is exciting, it scratches an internal itch, and every time, it makes me even more excited to optimize my work and help others around me do the same. This is not just any company. This is the best company. And although I'm currently an intern, I would happily tell you right now that this is a company I would be overjoyed to retire from. Joe and Bastian are the best leaders, and I am so lucky to learn and grow from their daily practices. Working here has guided me into a different form of growth than I knew I needed. Seriously, I could talk your ear off, but if you ignore the bots on here and apply, it might be one of the best decisions of your life. I know it was one of mine.

Pros

The pay is passable for rookies in the industry

Cons

Most employees here at Solsten are regularly insulted and humiliated by our supervisors. Most people in the management are heartless tyrants, and they don't care about our well-being. They yell and verbally harass us all the time, and I don't expect anything to change.
