Pros

The people all seem energetic and motivated, young and hungry. It's a true startup culture.

Cons

There are so many closed door meetings with the management, and there is no transparency. Since starting here over a year ago there has been 100% turnover. NONE of the people that I started out working with are here anymore, and I don't know why. It comes down to a lot of backstabbing and firing for emotional reasons. The CEO and COO are both friends from the Midwest and seem to be naive at first, coupled with friendly and genuine....but you get to know them and you realize that still waters run deep. They are vicious. And they have a lot of grudges. And it permeates quite a lot of the culture. We are also selling something with no revenue model. I'm not sure if that is normal for startups, but I can tell you that whatever they did to get investment from VCs was a ruse -- because we are selling our service and hard work for very little returns, if any. We are still experimenting and I don't know that I see what the future of this business can be.

Pros

Team members are the only good reason someone could survive in this work environment - they support each other and that's how you can get by in this company.

Cons

Employees do not have a voice and there is a high employee turnover every month! Be prepared to work 12 hours per day and hear from management that this is not enough. There is no work/life balance. Salary is below market and even tho they claim that employees have 3 weeks of paid vacation, they guilt you when you try to take days off. Employees end up having to get work done when on vacation. Employees have to bring and use their personal computers at work. No training provided. Unhealthy and toxic work environment. Avoid joining this company at all costs! If you don't believe this review then join the company and go through this nightmare yourself!

Pros

The idea and the marketplace they're trying to build is a very neat concept (unfortunately it's not much more) The positive reviews of the company were clearly written by the co-founders. It definitely made me laugh!

Cons

Nearly 100% turnover within months. Within months after I left, at least 90% of the people I worked with were no longer there. Wonder why? See below. Sexual harassment (Please ask about the MANY complaints that they chose to ignore until AFTER the victims had left the company. If they told you they took it seriously and reacted accordingly, it's a complete lie. They could not be bothered) Sexual discrimination / Sexist boy's club attitude **Their response to the above HR issues? Figure out a way to show up to work with a smile on your face or quit (because you don't "vibe" with their [misogynistic] culture) ZERO transparency Complete disregard for employees (in a personal and professional sense, especially if you're female). They do not value their employees at all which shows in their insanely high turnover rate Blatant lies and empty promises from management about career development Leadership that cannot figure out how to make money for the life of them Management makes decisions based on emotions and personal feelings TERRIBLE pay Many people had the general sentiment that they were tricked into working at Storefront. I agree. They'll lure you in with lies. I advise you to not believe anything they try to sell you on I would not recommend this company to even my worst enemies. The way they treat people is just inhumane. It's been sinking ship for a very long time and there's only so much time until they burn through their series A funding (if they're even still afloat as I write this)
