I worked at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fantastic place to work. Located next to Fashion Island. Great benefits and competitive pay, as well as yearly generous cash bonus!

    Cons

No cons for this firm. Management was great and always seem to care and listen to employees' concerns. Really no complaints to provide.

    Advice to Management

    It was nice working there!

I have been working at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Whoever says they are getting paid too much for easy work is someone who had nothing to do all day b/c their manager probably didn't trust them to do the work! The company and most of the employees are wonderful people. From what I have experienced and what I have seen, seems like everyone here is content. Office has great structure, it's more organized than it ever was. We've had some nice new people to work with, always makes working 8 hours a day easier and better.

    Cons

Contrary to the review noted below, the shareholders are not pervs. It seems that being polite is so rare in law firms, that it can often be mistaken for flirtation or something else, this is not the case here. The shareholders are very nice and involved, it's a good thing. If you can't separate personal and business, then yes, there will always be cons. Working in a law firm is not easy, as long as you can separate personal and business, stay focused and do your job well, it's a nice place to be. Cons always arise when someone has been terminated or forced to leave and that's b/c they probably were not doing a good job.

    Advice to Management

    Great job, keep it up!

    Pros

Working around lots of smart people everyday. Decent, not stellar bonuses. Low turnover.

    Cons

Company is a bit cheap on some things. Doesn't pay market for all jobs.

I worked at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth full-time

    Pros

Working 8:30-5 and having the weekends off is nice. Paid too much for easy work. That's about it.

    Cons

Shareholder pervs, airhead receptionist, and a very political environment. Don't expect a good morning greeting from the attorneys and do expect to adopt a survivor mentality.

    Advice to Management

High turnover of management and staff. Attorney's are rigid and unfriendly. Do not accept work here, and if you already have, leave as soon as possible to save your psyche!

I have been working at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits; Ocean View; Convenient Location (2 minutes walk to third street from the Pier); some good people to work with.

    Cons

Tough environment, everyone is overstretched and angry. Stress can become explosive. The Managing Director seems to be the source of everyone's stress. No restriction to conduct for shareholders...materialistic environment.

    Advice to Management

Be more careful with who you hire, they create the culture of Stradling.

I worked at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and decent pay. Nice office location and beautiful offices. Some people were very nice to deal with. Air conditioning worked well.

    Cons

Lawyers are very hard to support and leadership was very reactive instead of proactive. Often, grave errors had to occur before systems were evaluated and addressed.

    Advice to Management

    Be more proactive.
