Pros

Some employees are pleasant to work with.

Cons

Unfortunately, Studiocanal falls short in several key areas that are crucial to a healthy, efficient, and positive work environment. First and foremost, there is a clear issue with poor management, particularly at the senior level. Senior staff members often fail to lead effectively, which has a direct impact on the company's overall direction and employee morale. The lack of strong leadership is compounded by poor training and bad communication between departments, which creates confusion and inefficiency in day-to-day operations. Employees often feel disconnected from each other and unsure of expectations due to the lack of cohesive communication. In addition, the working practices at Studiocanal are inefficient and outdated. Despite the presence of employees who have been with the company for a long time, there is a noticeable lack of accountability, with many employees doing little to contribute while quietly avoiding scrutiny. This issue is further exacerbated by a culture where people are reluctant to rock the boat, resulting in unproductive staff members remaining unnoticed and unchallenged. Another major concern is HR, which is staffed with individuals who appear too junior and inexperienced to effectively address employee concerns or manage essential HR functions. This lack of expertise leads to an ineffective HR department that struggles with handling sensitive issues and supporting staff needs. As a result of these managerial shortcomings, there is widespread unhappiness among employees regarding their roles, career progression, and salary. The company’s compensation is below market rate, leaving many employees feeling undervalued and frustrated. This dissatisfaction has fostered an environment of disquiet, resentment, and jealousy among staff, which is toxic to team morale and overall company culture. In summary, Studiocanal has a lot of room for improvement in terms of management, communication, employee satisfaction, and compensation. Until these fundamental issues are addressed, it will be difficult for the company to retain talent and foster a productive, healthy work environment.
