    Pros

    The people were top notch. I made quite a few friends and have lasting relationships as a result. My schedule was quite flexible based on my family's needs.

    Cons

    No bottled water or coffee... Not that big of a deal. The company was sold and most of the staff lost their jobs.

    Advice to Management

    Seek out the talent that left the company and harness the potential in a new company. There were many extremely transferable skills on that team and they could be the driver of success in a new environment.

    I worked at StyleMark full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Only positive was a paycheck. People worked there because they were local, not for opportunities to advance or for the environment. Forced to take paycuts and reduced hours to keep afloat.

    Cons

    Nepotism ruled the day. If you were friends or family of the senior management team, you had it made. Very resistant to change. Poorly managed and grew way beyond the capabilities of the management team to run. Polaroid and Optimax sucked way too many resources out of the company.

    Advice to Management

    You should have hired someone with skills and education rather than family members and friends.

    Pros

    People are like family and pull together when in a crises in order to make sure a shipment goes out on time.

    Cons

    Wen it started going out of business things fell apar and people began arguing over each others jobs.

    Advice to Management

    I alwaysgot along with allmanagers. They all made sure you knew what you were doing and made sure yu always ad enough help to finish your shipment.

    casual work environment. great co-workers

    long hours. High stress. no 401k matching.

    Listen more and trust in the ability of the people you employed.

    Pros

    Located in nice area near the beach. Great corporate culture, relatively laid back. Supervisors and co-workers were easy to work with. Ample time to find new employment after the location was closed.

    Company was sold and location was closed.

    Trust. They hire you for a position and know you are going to do your job... unless you give them a reason to doubt. :)

    Opportunities offered to current employees to advance to other positions before they brought in people from outside of the company

    Cons

    The long term employees had vacation time taken away at one point and that did not go over well with them

    Advice to Management

    Value the long term employees more by letting them keep previous benefits they've already earned
