    Pros

    -Many enthusiastic, young employees
    -Diverse work force

    Cons

-Indecisiveness from top management causing delays on some projects

More clarity on what's happening in the company

    Pros

Great service, technology and compelling platform for design professionals.

    Cons

Micro-management starting at the top.... no talking (!) in NYC and top execs in small posse around CEO. No trust and no sense of fun or celebration when things were going well.

    Advice to Management

Understand work/life balance and that everyone is motivated by different things. Trusting employees would go a long way to developing a much happier and more productive culture.

I worked at Stylesight part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation, independence, hands off leadership, T&E, encouraged to get 'things' done 24/7, travel, ability to make decisions...no matter the size/scope, ambitious coworkers and did I say T&E!!!

    Cons

Zero personal growth...either you know what you're doing or you you'll never learn. Many coworkers seem bitter, beat-up and unhappy...which reflected in their desire to get 'things' done. Management was/is a bit aloof.

    Advice to Management

Engage, interact and encourage the entire staff.

I have been working at Stylesight full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Access to a database of tons of info about the industry if you're in client services and accounts. If you are in editorial, its a fusion between having a magazine job and a fashion job.

    Cons

Fashion type politics, lots of posturing, hidden agendas and overbearing boss. Take the job but leave in a year or two max. They will promise you advancement, but dont hold your breath.

    Advice to Management

Fire the CEO and dont pretend to be innovative its false advertising

I have been working at Stylesight full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Product, creative environment, central NY location

    Cons

History of management dysfunction; they "know everything" so your input goes nowhere (or you get zero recognition)

    Advice to Management

    Pointless to attempt.

I worked at Stylesight full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Summer hours are great if you can take them
Interesting product and opportunity for growth

    Cons

Diva attitudes amongst many of the Senior team - who constantly put each other down in public
Micro management by CEO with consistently changing priorities making it impossible to move the business forward

    Advice to Management

Pick a strategy which everyone is unified on and then execute on it - the constant in fighting and undermining each other only hurts the company as a whole and nothing is ever fully implemented - and then yet another change comes along - stop the viscous cycle.

    I worked at Stylesight full-time

    Pros

Generally great personalities and talent across all departments. Beautiful office space.

    Cons

There is a communication gap between management and employees and a culture of blame within certain departments which make collaboration and productivity suffer at times.

    Advice to Management

Encourage ideas and feedback from the team on decisions that will impact them, and actually put them into consideration and action.
