      Pros

      The only real pro was working the design team. They were by far the most talented designers I've encountered. They really understood the product / requirements at an extremely detailed level. This is pretty rare in my experience.

      Cons

      Kind of everything else. I was working with a team from Poland and nearly everything about it was awful. The time zone difference meant waking up to dozens of poorly communicated, yet very adversarial slack messages and emails daily. A certain member was outwardly aggressive towards me on numerous occasions (one time he asked if I was mentally handicapped on the client company's jira comment section - perhaps not quite acceptable behavior?) and on each occasion I made it known to my manager, and eventually the president of the company what was going on. They did not appear to care & they did ostensibly nothing to resolve it. Now I see their job ads call for candidates who can handle themselves professionally. Maybe they've learned from the experience. I eventually quit wondering if I even wanted to remain in the software field. I've since found a role on a team of fully functioning adults who can communicate and collaborate maturely, even delightfully, and as a result I'm thriving.

      Pros

      * Fantastic group of humans who respectfully dedicated to solution correctness * Work/life balance, Superformula has always been a 100% remote company because the company understands the best products and experiences result from a healthy respect for colleague's families and personal health. * Careful attention to developer experience and commitment to exceptional engineering rigor keeps skills sharp. The team understands the values of always learning together. * Superformula supports rapid individual growth, for those that lean into the opportunity there are significant skills growth opportunities from working with $1B/year revenue-driving product organizations, to parting with companies like Google in the adoption of Flutter for fortune 100 companies. * Team vibes are great on a daily basis, I look forward to seeing and talking to my teammates and we spend a good amount of time laughing. * Pre-pandemic, we traveled together a decent amount and it was always a blast

      Cons

      The company has grown over time and learned how to do better at every turn, sometimes not before a painful lesson. The teams have learned to take better care of feedback loops. I've accepted that there's no such thing as a perfect company and the best characteristic of a company is its ability to listen and change.

      Pros

      The people! You won't find a better group of diverse, fun and excited designers, engineers, product managers and leaders. Superformula prioritizes hiring the right people and it shows. Being 100% remote, you will find a lot of flexibility to do your job the best way you can. Because of the priority on hiring mostly Sr level people, the work that goes on day-to-day is very exciting and rewarding. The passion and dedication is inspiring! A culture of both design and engineering excellence is rare. You will likely be executing the best design work you've ever worked on. The design teams are humble, talented, and hungry. They are easily the best designers that I've ever worked with and they are very eager to collaborate with engineers and product teams to design what is right and deliver beautiful, documented designs. There is a lot of room to grow at Superformula, both professionally and financially. Did I mention the people? Well I'm doing it again. You will LOVE your coworkers every day.

      Cons

      If you are someone that is not a self-starter or motivated to do your best work, you will struggle here. Being a digital transformation company, they are hindered at times by the cultures of the businesses they are transforming. Superformula has a strong internal culture, but just something to be aware of. They work with HUGE orgs that have their own structure and challenges.
