I have been working at TAG full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You are working on multiple clients a day, which will allow you to learn a lot quickly and experience accounting across multiple industries. Easy to talk to upper management and express ideas and have the ability to make positive changes. Able to work from home 1 day/week. Team is rapidly growing with a large influx of new clients. If you work hard, you will be recognized. Incentive bonus every quarter for meeting goals.

    Cons

Fast paced work environment. Not everyone is cut out for this type of work.

I have been working at TAG full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Most of my coworkers and team are great to work with. Location in La Jolla is beautiful and a nice change. Pay is considerably higher than other comparative San Diego County positions.

    Cons

No HR on site. Would have been helpful as I there were multiple times when I felt manger made unacceptable comments regarding mental illness and HR may have been able to help. I don't feel comfortable approaching manager regarding help due to mental illness because of the comments. Position was not as described in posting and interview. I would not have accepted if I had known. Currently looking for other options. Higher ups have no idea how their actions affect the company, specifically taking vacation during the busiest times (tax deadlines). Very high turnover. In the first month I was at the company two people left on their own, and since then two have been let go. I was also informed of multiple people not lasting more than a couple weeks prior to my hiring.

I have been working at TAG full-time

    Pros

Flexible about working hours. You can work from home but it’s not worth it because you’ll just end up with more work. Monthly bonuses.

    Cons

Overloaded with work, flexible hours but you’ll find yourself overloaded with no end in sight. NO TRAINING! Turnover is soooo high. 6-8 people quit within a 3 month period.

    I worked at TAG full-time

    Pros

La Jolla Cove is beautiful. It "only" took 8 employees leaving the same team for management to finally get rid of a problem person in a position of responsibility. Employees get exposure to many different tasks from journal entries to running errands.

    Cons

No formal training. Roles and responsibilities are unclear. Wouldn't believe what management says during or after the interview - lots of lip service and vague promises. Not the job for you if you want to learn responsible accounting.
