Pros

overall a friendly, open-minded, people-first mentality for a service job. there's a big emphasis on inclusive, LGBTQ friendly, anti-racist, anti-sexist, pro-environmentalism, all that stuff. company culture is a big thing. pay is pretty good, and it's an overall chill work environment.

Cons

management can be chill to a fault. training is inconsistent, important changes or updates will be lost in a casual email, conflict or issues with employees are ineffectively dealt with if not ignored altogether. management is very friendly and buddy-buddy with employees, which is nice to a point, but gets muddy when they have to assert "being the boss." upper management is disconnected from day-to-day at the stores. ceo would come in, look around, and instruct changes that disrupted the flow of the store.

Pros

Nice people, Good tips at most of the locations.

Cons

Below average pay, good employees get punished while bad employees get endless chances. You get alot of talk about how helping the company helps the growers, but its hard to focus on the growers when you cant pay your own rent and you're making less than lower level employees at the "evil" coffee chains.

Great Company, Some Problem Managers

Pros

Ethical company..actually. Relationship with coffee farmers, particular about roasting, major efforts to compost and recycle as much as possible. Very nice to its employees. Pay is what you'd expect. I know people who quite other abusive coffee chains to come work for Think.

Cons

As some other reviews have noted, some of the managers can make the environment miserable. Most of them were great, but a few bad seeds. Just like people coming to work for Think because the company itself is a good employer, I also know people (long time employees) who left because they couldn't take these managers anymore. It's a shame.
