I worked at Trinity University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The community is one of the best one can experience. All of the staff are supportive and the faculty are some of the best I have ever directly observed.

    Cons

The pay is quite terrible compared to some of the other available opportunities. The faculty is quite unaware of the plight surrounding the pay of teaching assistants, even though they are some of the brightest minds one can find within a 250 kilometer radius.

    Advice to Management

An increase in pay is a significant priority.

I have been working at Trinity University full-time

    Pros

Benefits are great, but the pay is not. University contributes 10% towards 401k. An abundant amount of holidays and vacation days.

    Cons

Staff are truly treated like second-class citizens. Their opinions are not valued, and the staff that have remained at Trinity for a number of years tend to laugh it off and say "we are only staff members." A good amount of the staff are Trinity alumni, and got their first jobs at Trinity, and never left.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the staff. The university wouldn't be able to function without them, and they see things professors do not.

I worked at Trinity University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved being able to work on my own terms by reaching out to advertising contacts when convenient. My earnings were totally determined by how hard I worked, which was very satisfying. Have referenced this job in nearly every interview I've had (and received offers from each interview).

    Cons

Had to be very prompt in replying to contacts. Was glued to my phone anyway, so this wasn't a big issue.
