I have been working at TutorMe part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great pay for a part time job online.

    Cons

Website needs updates for better communication between students. Especially the chat outside lesson space.

I have been working at TutorMe part-time

    Pros

Good interface to connect with students as a tutor, with useful features such as screensharing, multiple whiteboards, a code editor, and Google Docs integration. All sessions also have audio and video capabilities if the student and tutor agree to use those.

    Cons

Can be difficult at times to obtain sessions as a tutor because they are taken very quickly, so be prepared to claim a lesson as soon as you see it even before knowing what the student needs help on. Standard rate of $16/hour for tutoring, which is somewhat low in comparison to what I would charge for private tutoring and also significantly lower than what students actually pay per hour; though it seems they have their hands full with complaints from students regarding pricing.

I have been working at TutorMe full-time

    Pros

Flexible times, easier to apply and connect with students than most sites, students are eager to learn and don't judge you

    Cons

Hard to accept a tutoring request fast enough without good internet connection, some bugs in the site design (freezing/popups during lessons), pay is lower than most tutoring jobs

I have been working at TutorMe part-time

    Pros

TutorMe is a great online platform that quickly matches you with students that need help. Considering the current environment I think it's a great alternative to in-person tutoring. I really like the flexibility of working the hours you want to, which allows me to find time in my schedule to tutor rather than be on a set schedule.

    Cons

System can be laggy sometimes, and can be very competitive to get students sometimes.
