    I worked at Uni-Select full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Uni-Select is focussed on customer service, and does a decent job trying to make things right for the customer . . . especially in some of the smaller markets.

    Cons

Continuing to have issues with inventory control within their distribution centers. Domestic corporate HQ is outside of Buffalo, NY, and provides a limited amount of support for facilities due to distance and staff availability.

    Advice to Management

Spend the money necessary to correct the inventory issues that cause problems for the downline customers. Increase the HR support to operations in the field.

    Pros

Despite the company feeling like the Titanic, our esteemed leader (the Finance Manager) acted as the ship's violinist, playing on despite having a gaping hole in the hull with water rushing in at a furious pace. She devised activities such as "Waffle Wednesday" and "Uni-Beach Day" to keep our morale up despite the inevitable icy cold water that was soon to begin filling our lungs as the ship went under.

    Cons

SAP system was completely broken and took 3+ years to get up and running. Half of the employees were lazy, the other half were incompetent. Management had no idea what was going on. Millions of dollars were owed to many suppliers. We had to punch in and out for breaks, clocks were watched.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your resumes updated.
