    Pros

So many different people to work with. Many of the customers truly appreciated our being there and staying late for them.

    Cons

No room to advance unless you had a degree, unwillingness to allow room for growth. If you inform management of misdeeds of others they would not do anything about it. When it came to upselling.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what your rental agents are doing some are really good and some are really bad, but the bad ones are still there and some of your better ones have left.

    Pros

At one point Management staff was able to keep a vehicle up to 7 days free gas, car wash, and variety of choice. Plus the few bonuses every once in a while.

    Cons

The company goals were conflicted between making profit and giving service.
The UNIONS ran the location while Management dealt with many issues to get work done
    The hours

    Advice to Management

Provided the necessary tools for staff to be successful. You know the difference between a Lexus and Pinto.... You don't send a staff to war without the right fighting material. Geezees

    Pros

Get experience in driving, co-workers are great to work with.

    Cons

Management does not communicate as to what is going on, recognition of good work is hardly noticed by management.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be better communication between management and employees

    Pros

3 days off throughout the week.

    Cons

Hours and management are subpar the other 4 days.

    Advice to Management

Treat the contractors like they belong there as well. Not like they're disposable at any second.

    Pros

Freedom to control your own territory. You, and no one else in the company, own it. It creates lots of opportunity

    Cons

You can't really negotiate anything on your own. Any changes to pricing or a proposal requires management approval, which creates a similar used car salesman atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Management was smart to sell the company to Enterprise. The C-Level types at Vanguard didn't know the industry, they were just there to get the company out of the red...regardless of how they did it.
