    Pros

Grace has great benefits and pension.

    Cons

Since the split, the culture has changed as new management has been brought in. Less employee engagement than before. Decisions are made at the top with little input from the rest of the business.

    Advice to Management

Train leadership on engagement and inclusion.

    I worked at W. R. Grace & Co. full-time

    Pros

The pay is good, and you are protected by a union depending where your plant is located.

    Cons

There was a hiring freeze in place and the plants are so small they cannot afford to train and advance within the company if you are not management level.

I have been working at W. R. Grace & Co. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Benifits
    Compensation
    Work/life balance
An actual pension fund; not just a 401k
    Easy commute

    Cons

    Cafeteria is kind of expensive

Bldg. 100 is very nice, but some of the other buildings could use a makeover; some of the older buildings haven't been updated since the 50s.

While 401k and pension are great; health insurance is kind of pricy.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the 401k match and pension plan.

Grace has gotten smaller through spinning off different pieces of the company, but they've always seemed to maintain the belief that they'd rather have a smaller highly skilled work force, who they keep around by providing great benifits, retirement, and generous compensation, than the constant turn over that comes with poor benifits and salary; which is nice to see in the corporate world. A lot of people at Grace have been here for 30+ years for a reason.

I have been working at W. R. Grace & Co. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good 401K match with pension for older employees or fixed contribution for newer employees - nice retirement combination

    Cons

Senior leadership is afraid of decisions and will often trip over dollars to pick up dimes
