      Some great people, but the SaaS product and CEO leave much to be desired

      Pros

      There are some great people at Waypoint. Smart, collaborative and friendly. The company is also a nice size, with around 25 people.

      Cons

      Although there are smart people working to develop Waypoint's SaaS offering, it has a long way to go before it becomes something that target customers consider important enough to purchase and use. So the company will continue to struggle until it's software becomes more of a "must-have" rather than a "nice-to-have". The other drawback is the leadership , which is capricious.

      Pros

      The people at Waypoint are the real gem. Very smart, outgoing and hard working people. The SaaS product is nowhere close to fulfilling its promise to deliver value.

      Cons

      Top-down siloed environment. Lack of leadership and clear direction from management. Emotionally charged.

      A great team facing a tough challenge

      Pros

      The team members I worked with were all brilliant and dedicated to their work. Intellectually, it was a pleasure to work with them.

      Cons

      Executive leadership often acted unprofessionally in how they handled setbacks and difficulties. It was very frustrating to have feedback on projects only delivered when they were near completion, sending things all the way back to the beginning. This was a regular cycle that continually held back progress.
