    Pros

Great team. Smart and incredibly gifted marketers. Work environment generally supportive and collaborative. Overall a positive place, staffed by talented team with genuine work ethic a clear goals.

    Cons

Model was flawed and resulted in a challenges. Location in CT limited pool for new hire talent which meant many people here were recycled from other local marketing services firms.

    Advice to Management

Consider ways to infuse more diverse talent into the organization. Be open to shifting the business model and considering opportunities to diversify.

    Pros

I was there for almost the entire lifetime of the company. The people were the best part of this job. The original owners were always very open with the staff, and were terrific, smart, dedicated people. During the first five years or so, we had semi-weekly company meetings which were often fun. You felt part of a team, and company growth was phenomenal.

    Cons

Typical variety of both very good and very bad management. Company grew so quickly that bureaucracy took over. Since a lot of people stayed with the company for years, the early people became extremely jaded and discontent, since the atmosphere completely turned upside down within five years. Then we were plagued with legal issues, and there were bitter internal disputes. Several employees saw this coming, but deluded themselves for years. Sad, because there were so many good, dedicated people. Some stuck around longer than they wanted, due to "golden handcuffs."

When we were finally sold (misrepresented as a merger) to Affinion, it really all went downhill quickly.

    Advice to Management

This advice is for Affinion -- when you "buy" a competitor for their expertise, don't play lip service and treat them poorly. This is why the entire purchase turned out to be a failed exercise, and you lost all the best people.

    I worked at Webloyalty.com full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Fantastic work atmosphere.
    Great colleagues.
Good support from team leaders and HR.
Nice work environment and good equipment.
On site equipped kitchen and coffee machine.
Free parking area and easy access to the office (no traffic jam).

    Cons

Maybe not too much room for career advancement and salary a bit below expectations due to the high volume of calls, difficulties of handling demanding customers + the stress.

    Advice to Management

Due the the competencies and professionalism of our ex-team in Switzerland, you are for sure gonna miss what we were bringing every day at work:
A multi lingual, friendly, efficient and dedicated team who never compromised quality over quantity !

    I worked at Webloyalty.com full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Come in at 9am, leave at 5:30 precisely - never stay late hours
-Free coffee, and fruits every Monday
    -Salary is fair

    Cons

-Very sterile, unstimulating work environment (think "Office Space")
-People extremely fearful of HR ; constant paranoia about what's said in public for fear of offending someone
-Faceless upper management extremely out of touch
-Executive and management team rarely interact with employees further down the food chain
-Extreme bureaucracy - acquiring a new keyboard or mouse is such a challenging feat, most people decide to buy their own supplies ; likewise with installing new software (I literally waited 3 months to install Firefox)
-Business practices are extremely shady - nothing illegal, but there's a "grey area" that WL walks

    Advice to Management

Make your workplace a little more stimulating and, dare I say, fun
Stop treating every individual employee as though he/she is a potential thief/cyber criminal/liar
Make people's jobs easier rather than giving them a 5-step, 3 month bureaucratic process for requisitioning Post-It notes or installing a simple piece of software
