    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Wisconsin Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent hours, excellent help, great work environment, supportive upper level management, a lot of professional development opportunities, excellent benefits, a lot of PTO, flexibility to handle medical concerns if needed.

    Cons

High turnover so if you do not like training your part time staff or you do not like working with a younger work population I don't recommend working for the Union. College students are most of your workers. I love working with this demographic but be aware that this is a concern if you're not fond of constantly training or experiencing change because your work environment will constantly change to meet the demands of college students. You won't get any raises really; since it is a public institution, this isn't likely to change.

    Advice to Management

Management is great; please try to get raises for your employees but I know that just isn't really in your control.

I worked at Wisconsin Union part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very neat payments as a part time student job, the working environment is good. Great team with a good atmosphere to work with.

    Cons

Shifts not flexible and sometimes requires a hard physical labor in a short period. The burden varies based on time.

    Advice to Management

More training and detailed manual to new employees is preferred. Otherwise I have no more advice to give based on my personal experience working at Wisc Union.

    Pros

Everyone is very nice and personable. Hands-down the best employer I have ever worked for. If you have the opportunity to work for them, DO! They are very flexible with schedules and very supportive with future endeavors.

    Cons

Slow human resources process. Sometimes responses are delayed and it takes a little bit for a promotion or raise to be entered into the system.
