    Pros

    Generous PTOs, great work/life balance.

    Cons

It's a different company now, not Worldnow any more

    Pros

The people - smart, dedicated, and hard working. Many people are still there from when the company was a startup in 1999, which demonstrates the buy-in many people had to the vision of the company. Pretty good work/life balance, with 23 PTO days a year, many holidays off, holiday between Christmas & New Years Day off, and the ability to work from home.

    Cons

Not a lot of ability to increase skill set by participating in different projects, inner circle clique, foreigners relegated to limited duties. Limited room for advancement. Overall business model limited to broadcast new media revenue is flawed and should be open to other sectors of media and other industries.

    Advice to Management

Pursue business in industries outside of media, as to not be a slave to them when companies don't renew licenses and leave, taking their business elsewhere.

I have been working at WorldNow full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company culture is great. There are lots of talented, dedicated people, but it's a relaxed environment. Management is super responsive and individual innovation is encouraged. The product is fun to work on and the company is strategically positioned. Overall, an exciting place to be.

    Cons

Like most tech companies that are growing quickly, you'll only get as much direction and responsibility as you decide to take on yourself. If you're used to or dependent on the extremely structured environment of a big corporation then this isn't for you.

    Advice to Management

They could benefit from more rigorous training programs for new employees. Then again, these could get in the way of the more independent-minded employees. For the most part, there is a good balance, but only once you have found a comfortable role in the company.

I worked at WorldNow full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers were very solid and knowledgeable. Nice facilities overall in a growing section of the outpost known as Queens/Long Island City. General fair balance of work/life.

    Cons

The company is led by truly one of the most incompetent CEOs I've ever come into contact with. A micromanager who is too focused on what his lowest level managers are doing than being a true visionary about his industry, company and technology. While a "workaholic" in his personal work ethic, his use of time is unfocused and disorganized. A dismal leader who is taking the company down with him.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the CEO before it's too late. And pay your employees at industry standard wage levels. Managers and Directors should be allowed to lead and manage their teams as they see fit with clearly defined goals and expectations and not at the whims of the CEO.

I have been working at WorldNow full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's an incredible feeling working for people that you truly admire and inspire you on a daily basis. The team at WorldNow has been unbelievably welcoming and helpful. The opportunities that have opened for me since starting to work here have been astounding. The company has crystal clear vision, motivation, and determination to achieve all of the goals they set out to make. I'm excited to come to work every day for a company that surpasses it's own expectations. This company truly cares about it's employees and the clients that they service. The leaders of this company have built a fortified foundation for this company to grow on. The work we do is going to change the world.

    Cons

There's a reason that this company does so well, and it's because it pushes it's employees to work hard. I work very closely to the CEO and so the hours can be long, as he never stops working.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! You guys rock!

I have been working at WorldNow full-time

    Pros

The working environment is best when it comes to the staff. They are hard working and very friendly.

    Cons

The limited resources to perform many tasks. Departments slowly loose staff while new managers come and go with every season.

    Advice to Management

Improve your staffs moral with salary increases instead of hiring managers who assume to know about the business.
