Pros

10% Discount at Subway. Upgraded Coffee at Starbucks

Cons

Con’s Con 1, promised £15/£20 if you taught a class outside your 24 hours, then paid £5 and added on to overtime, as rules were altered to prevent PT's earning a payment to support the individual come in off shift to help the club and cover classes, since this has been changed i have seen countless classes being cancelled and instructors not willing to "go the extra mile" Con 2, New Goal Posts for PT's announced, an Increase from £1000 - £1500 by month 3, all PT team are realising that they are not seeing an increase in sales yet increase in target, GM & SM just keep spouting the HO waffle. Con 3, Reoccurring payments, clients paying and PT's not having the commission paid! or amount taken off target or added to the total. VG not being consistent so members not able to book their PT, all issues raised to HO and waffle responses, HO not taking the problems serious and PT's losing Commission!!
They blame shopify? Con 4, Another Goal Post Increase!!
£1500 - £2500 with a minimum sell of £1700 to earn commission with only top 4 pt’s hitting £2500 so setting 250 PT’s up to fail!!
 Con 5,
Transformation Camps, 40 spaces on a camp that attracts 15/20 due to timings and clashes with existing popular classes. ridiculous incentives, day 8 of the month “lets draw the line on existing sales and start numbers back to 0, then give a crap prize to top seller unlucky to those selling well day 1-7. Con 6, Pt’s Being exploited as group class instructors and not Personal Trainers!! Membership Consultants Being exploited by putting ridiculous hours and having unachievable targets then being hampered with online offers twice in a month, Receptionists being given sales targets, selling Pride clothing, X4L Protein & Fitmas/Fitpacks on top of being the point of contact regards cancellations!!! SM’s being contacted on leave, time off or on the sick, Countless amounts of Whatsapp groups to predict their likely progress, being told to sell to their SM target then being paid twice as an MC!!!
GM’s Being pressured into starting falsehoods to keep HO in the clear from litigation, blame or fault for corner cutting, financial irregularities, Harlands and their methods, complaints and cancellations. Within 6 months the Brand/Gym/Experience has deteriorated and members are bailing, wise staff are giving notice, those being left behind are facing daily backlash.

Pros

Good coworkers and free gym membership. Nothing much else to write but I have to fill this up to 20 words

Cons

Where to start 1. Unrealistic targets 2. Unable to get leads and get told to add fake leads to the system 3. fake leads then lead to fake appointments which means no sales 4. Low pay 5. Commission is not the best as targets for an older gym are just not achievable 6. Staff turnover is high

Pros

Free gym membership and that's about it. It truly is a abhorrent place to work, avoid it at all costs

Cons

They are in the business of scaremongering. They do what they want, when they want and how they want. They demand you be dishonest to customers, to colleagues and contractors on site just so they aren't reported for the many health and safety, ethical and financial violations. They force management to declare working hours so they are in line with contracts and not realistic so that when they are reported to HMRC they have "evidence" they have done nothing wrong. Unrealistic sales targets that breed the wrong behaviours, no club in the company has achieved its targets the last 3 months. You will be expected to work as long as they want for nothing extra and the commission/bonus at the end of those hours (if you've met every stipulation) is awful. Regional management don't have a clue what they are doing, it's a title and no support is given. The senior management WILL sack you for any reason they see fit with no HR involvement and I'm surprised they haven't been smashed with employee tribunals. Huge staff turn over, I have personally seen 2 full teams worth of people hired and replaced. So many people have worked there you will know somebody and my biggest advice is speak to them and they will tell you how awful this place to work is. You don't get payed your salary/bonus on time without a fight and if you wish to seek help from HR good luck they are nowhere to be seen or heard from, in fact if you wish to speak to somebody at head office at all good luck. The place is just truly awful.
