- Total ownership over your role and freedom to take risks and make mistakes - Top-notch people throughout the organization - Flexibility and no micro-management, true work-life balance supported by leadership - commercetools actually cares (Engage the Change, our internal DEI group, company donations to important causes, I could go on and on...) - Outstanding benefits - Award-winning product and solid company stability/growth This is by far the best job I've ever had, and I'm so excited to grow with this team for years to come!
Cons
There are some changes that come with being an innovative, growing tech company, but all the changes I've seen have been positive and with the employees' best interests in mind. Lack of processes, which equates to lack of red tape. commercetools might not be for you if you're looking to do the same thing day-in and day-out, and aren't comfortable getting your hands dirty.

commercetools is in one of the hottest industries and is a disrupter and pioneer of new technology. The company is growing rapidly making it exciting and challenging. The management cares deeply about the employees and the company is the most civil and respectful places I've ever worked.
Cons
Hyper-growth can be challenging for employees but the company is providing a lot of training to help people navigate the personal and professional impacts.

Pros
commercetools is going somewhere. They have a vision and a good product, that will only get better with time. Teams are diverse and all over the world. It's a technical business so it helps to know about the industry. It helps that the company is learning quickly what it is as a service too. The company knows what it is adding to the digital commerce evolution.
Cons
The company is growing fast and ideas change within the company can change quickly. This is why having a technical background is almost essential.

Of all the jobs I've had, Commercetools is the most forward thinking company I've seen. They have such a small turn over rate because they treat their employees like royalty and pay very well. That's so smart because it keeps talent and we don't have to constantly retrain new people.

Good benefit structure Some teams have a great culture Lots of amazing people trying to make it a great company. Growing extremely fast with lots of industry buzz.
Cons
They hire from outside the company instead of promoting within. Lower than market salary - new hires make significantly more than long-term employees. With many managers coming from outside the company from large enterprises like Oracle, the culture is department-specific. The technology is lacking - really just a database with API for storing your data.
