I have been working at gh full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Meaningful work
    Good work-life balance
Lots of freedom to set your own schedule
Friends of the owner and manager can get away with anything

    Cons

    Raises are never given
You must fight to be hired on and get benefits
    Hostile office environment
Hostile environment for women (no promotions, assumed to be crazy/catty, owner will not look us in the eye)

    Advice to Management

Don't tell personal secrets to other employees. Don't complain about my coworkers to me and don't complain about me to them. Also if the whole company has a problem with one person it is probably their fault, not ours. Stop protecting them. They are not as frail and innocent as you think.

    Pros

Work at one's own pace; on-the-job training; no management hovering; once hired full-time, good benefits and room to grow.

    Cons

This company hires by employing you as a temp for at least a year. You start at $10/hr. If your first year doesn't work out, you can be let go with no warning, no severance, no unemployment.

    Advice to Management

Work on communicating expectations rather than assuming everyone is on the same page.

I have been working at gh part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a new private clinic. There is a short waiting time for procedures. The atmosphere is less intimidating than having the procedures done in hospital.

    Cons

Being new and non union, the time available to work is limited. There are no benefits and the salary for the staff especially the RNs, is much less than paid in the hospital.

    Advice to Management

Try to model the hospital in regards to employee benefits. Provide two paid coffee breaks and provide adequate coverage during break times. More computers for the staff to input pt data.
