Today, we proudly raise our SDG flags in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 17 goals that guide us towards a more inclusive, just, and sustainable society by 2030. The SDGs, embraced by the world on 25 September 2015, are vital for a recovery that leads to greener, more inclusive economies, and stronger, more resilient societies. ASM proudly became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact on 28 June, 2022 and our participation in the UN SDG Flag campaign at our locations around the world, underscores our commitment to the UN Global Compact and the SDGs on a national and international level, and contributes to raising awareness for the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda. What a day for paying it forward! 13 ASMers from the sourcing/purchasing team in Phoenix helped feed the homeless as part of the Heat Respite Program at St. Mary's Basilica. The team made rice and beans, salad, lemonade, and cake for 100 homeless people, and even brought food for homeless dogs.

This month, a group of business students from Missouri State University visited our Netherlands office as part of their study abroad trip through Europe. 'Innovation Strength' is the core element of ASM's overall growth strategy. But how does that look in practice? We were one of the first companies with the vision to recognize the potential of ALD technology for the semiconductor industry. Earlier this year, we signed a new five year agreement with the University of Helsinki to form and fund the Atomic Layer Deposition Center of Excellence at the university’s Kumpula science campus. This further expands our nearly two decade long partnership with the University of Helsinki on ALD. #ASM #semiconductor #innovation
We are stepping up our sustainaiblity ambitions to reduice our environmental footprint. In 2021 we set an ambitious target of Net Zero emmisions by 2035. Yes, we did it (with pride)! 38,000 square meters of high-tech and fantastic people, our Woodlands Height facility in Singapore is officially opened. It was completed at the end of 2020, but now we celebrated this milestone together in person. As part of the event, we announced that we are breaking ground for a second manufacturing floor, ready for production in early 2023. This is how we are addressing increasing industry demand due to digitalization trends—making sure that we grow through innovation and continue improving people's lives.
