Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) Young Professionals was set up by young people in Financial Services (FS) across the SFE membership, with the aim of providing opportunities for career development, access to networking opportunities, events to develop Industry knowledge and contacts and promoting FS to the next generation. We are delighted to share that Victoria MacLean, CFA has been appointed Chair of SFE Young Professionals. Victoria is a currently a Fund Manager within our Global Equities Team and joined us via our graduate programme in 2010 and stated, “Our young professionals are the future leaders of Scotland’s professional and financial services industry. We have the opportunity to effect real and meaningful change for the greater good of our sector and wider society. And we must take it.” Well done Victoria and good luck.
As a Company we have an aspiration to tackle the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health in the workplace. We believe everyone has a role to play, we are committed to Developing a Mentally Healthy Workplace and are delighted to be supporting Mental Health Awareness Week #MHAW18. We launched our week long programme of activities today with a wide range of activity from an inspirational presentation from Dr Patty Lozano-Casal, Health, Social Care and Workplace Manager at SeeMe where she discussed the importance of managing mental health and increasing awareness in this space. We also had a selection of information stands offering free massages, smoothie tasters, our Carers Network, Mental Health 1st Aiders, the Standard Life Aberdeen choir conducting a sing-a-long and our people made pledges to support the week! Well done everyone!
