We continue the Social Media Takeover, with a case review featuring Fibula Nail 2. Dr. Charles Moon treated a 32-year-old female who sustained a trimalleolar fracture after a trip at home. On stress, the syndesmosis did not show disruption. The surgery resulted in a successful repair using the Acumed Fibula Nail 2 for the lateral malleolus and two cannulated screws for the medial malleolus. Dr. Moon utilized the optional Tip-Loc bushing and set screw to provide rotational stability to the fracture. This case highlights the importance of the correct entry point of the opening reamer and positive positioning of the Tip-Loc Clamp prior to bushing insertion.
