Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. WiSTEM group volunteered at Lancaster County’s Lancaster Science Factory where they proctored hands-on thermal-related displays for children and their families to participate in. These demonstrations explored thermal energy, conduction, convection, thermal expansion, and heat capacity. ACT’s WiSTEM group is a newly formed group of female engineers and technicians whose purpose is to empower women in STEM fields and to encourage the next generation to be excited about science and aware of all the career paths available in their future.
Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT), a leading provider of innovative thermal solutions, announces today their collaboration with Boeing to update a sophisticated weapon system for the U.S. Military and international partners. Boeing contracted ACT to manufacture a thermal solution for onboard guidance technology used on the Harpoon and SLAM-ER cruise missile systems. Thermal management is a critical enabling technology as these systems become more capable and precise. This contract represents a multi-year production phase which was executed after reaching major milestones in the preceding engineering development phase.
