Joined by many, the Air Methods of Kentucky 6 team celebrated two decades of providing life-saving care to Elizabethtown and surrounding communities. Last month, the team held a community event to recognize this significant milestone and were able to connect with former patients, one of whom was a teenager involved in a multi-vehicle accident in 2023. Both patients relied on Kentucky 6 in their time of need to provide life-saving care and were grateful to have recovered to celebrate with the crew. Happy Anniversary, Kentucky 6! Your service to the community is paramount and we are grateful you’ve positively impacted so many lives over the years.
This summer, two clinicians from our LifeNet McHenry team were recognized by Pingree Grove Fire Protection District (Illinois) for assisting in providing lifesaving care to two different patients on separate trauma-related scene calls. These patients were experiencing life-threatening injuries and without the critical care of all agencies, the patients’ outcomes could have been far worse. Congrats to Flight Nurses Jesse Freidel and Kira McLaughlin! We couldn’t be more proud and honored to have them as a part of our team. The best of the best are part of the Air Methods family join the team today.
One year ago, the lives of Joshua and Ashley Timmons were impacted by a motorcycle accident while driving home from dinner with friends. Given the severity of the accident, Joshua was transported by ARCH 3 to Springfield Hospital. He underwent multiple surgeries over several months to mend a full arm and collarbone injuries. Late last year, Joshua and Ashley reunited with the flight clinicians who provided Joshua’s care and extended their appreciation for their service. This year, Joshua reunited with the entire ARCH Air Medical Service- Effingham, IL Base during the program’s 20th anniversary open house event in May. Today, Timmons is mostly recovered and back to work as a mechanic. 💙
