Asante is growing! The Emergency Department at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center officially doubled in size in June with the completion of the hospital?s newest expansion. The hospital added 11 beds to its current 19, bringing the total to 30 in the Emergency Department. Of those, four are ?flex rooms? for patients with behavioral health needs. A six-bed triage bay and two full-size trauma and resuscitation rooms were also added.
Did you hear that we recently opened an expanded behavioral health unit to improve the quality of care and address the shortage of beds for people with mental health conditions in our community? Asante's new behavioral health unit features more rooms and a calming environment to promote recovery. A large portion of the funds for this project was from generous donations to Asante Foundation.
Asante named a 15 Top Health System in the nation for the eighth time! This year’s 2020 award announcement by IBM Watson Health is twice as sweet, with Asante receiving accolades for not one — but two — major accomplishments! For the eighth year in a row, Asante has been named a 15 Top Health System in the nation. This is a remarkable achievement, with only one other health system in the country reaching this status, and that’s Mayo Clinic. This year’s study evaluated 332 health systems and 2,492 hospitals across the nation to identify the top 15 health systems with the highest overall achievement on five performance measures: inpatient outcomes, process of care, extended outcomes, efficiency and patient experience. The second reason to celebrate is Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center has been named a 100 Top Hospital in the nation for the seventh time out of 3,134 short-term, acute care, non-federal hospitals in the U.S.
WORRIED ABOUT COVID-19? Don't let that keep you from getting the care you need, including wellness checks, mammograms, getting that sore throat or stomach pain addressed. Asante's chief medical and quality officer, Dr. Jamie Grebosky, describes the precautions our clinics take to keep you safe.
